The military. We have a military that costs 20 times as much as the next 17 countries combined. Not only is there a lot of waste, but there is a lot of unnecessary war going on.
Not true. More of our budget goes to entitlements than the military. The defense spending does need to be reined back, but it’s becoming an unnecessary argument. NYTimes did their own graphic. So did the Post. And the CBPP. Cutting the discretionary spending (defense) just won’t work unless other parts of the budget are considered. People need to stop making this indefensible (no pun intended) argument.
